You would never have found a Fathers Day Gift guide on my blog. The reason was fairly simple, I didn’t really get what Fathers Day was all about. I wrote a post about it. I’ve also written about how I’m a Dad not a Superhero. Recently though my attitudes have changed. Mainly due to Little Miss OMG. She like most toddlers takes great delight in picking flowers (weeds in some cases.) Leaves and all manner of other random items she finds and handing them to me with a big smile. After one such walk where I returned home with my pockets filled with daisy’s and pine cones. I emptied my pockets into the bin. A few hours later she asked where they all were. When I told her I’d lost them she was inconsolable. It was then I realised that, like Christmas morning when I love seeing their faces light up as they unwrap their presents. Perhaps for the kids and Mrs OMG Fathers Day is their chance to see me enjoy opening the things they have made or bought for me.
So without further ado, here are some ideas of Fathers Day Gifts to cover all budgets!
There is a reason this is the first item on the list. I have terrible trouble trying to get to sleep. Then when I wake the next morning I don’t feel refreshed. Since using this pillow I’ve found when I do get to sleep it is a much better sleep. There’s a reason for this.
ReflexPillow have launched a revolutionary ‘Perfection Pillow’ this week via Kickstarter. Perfection is a patented and certified medical device that is designed to naturally eliminate the key causes of sleep deprivation: teeth grinding, neck and back pain, tossing and turning, insomnia, snoring, and sleep apnea.
According to ReflexPillow founder Noel O’Connor, “Inappropriate pillows do not support the anatomy of the human body so it’s not surprising that sleep science has turned to pillows as a major focus. While your mattress may support your lower spine, the soft tissue of your upper spine and neck requires even more support.” Noel has built a long career researching and treating back and neck pain and has treated more than 30,000 patients in 30 years. The Perfection Pillow itself has been a long time in the making. Noel has spent many years researching the magic material Reflex Foam he uses in his products.

A nice pot of filtered coffee is great, so is a French Press full. If your house is like mine then there are some mornings when time doesn’t allow this. Well since I discovered Coffee Brewer by the Brewers Cup. It is my go to coffee on those rushed mornings.
The coffeebrewer offers the quality and the rich taste known from pour over filter coffee and french press coffee, but with the convenience of instant coffee.
The secret behind the rich taste brewed in the coffeebrewer is owed to the unique filter design and brewing technology. We combine the best from a pour over filter brew with the rich taste of a french press. Pouring boiling hot water in slow circular movements directly on the coffee grounds will steep the coffee and extract the aroma very effectively. The design of the filter is engineered to make the brewing process stop as you pour out the first cup. That is why you will never experience the last cup turning bitter.
Photogem Bespoke Jewlery
Personalised photo gifts are a dime a dozen these days. I’ve found a truly unique one for you, that your Dad will love and cherish forever.
Photogem is an exciting new range of bespoke jewellery that truly captures your special moments. Described as a modern take on an old-fashioned locket, Photogem offers a stylish and eye-catching way to keep your loved ones close.
Photogem was designed and created by Cotswold-based portrait photographer, Anne-Marie Randall (amrandall.com), as a way for clients to show off their newly shot images. The jewellery ranges proved so popular that Anne-Marie decided to offer a dedicated Photogem service alongside her photography work.
Each Photogem is hand-crafted by artisan jewellers in England and finished in the Cotswold
I’ve a pair of cufflinks myself and they are amazing. I recently ran a giveaway to win a Sterling Silver Photogem Keychain.
Contrary to popular belief it’s not just Mams who love a bit of chocolate. Us Dad’s have been known to hide away in order to eat a sneaky bit of chocolate.
Irelands only open-plan chocolate factory! Skelligs Chocolate is located on The Skelligs Ring, which was named in The Lonely Planet’s Top 10 Regions to visit in 2017. The factory is just opposite St. Finian’s Bay and overlooking the UNESCO World Heritage site Skellig Michael, which was used as the backdrop to the Star Wars movie; The Last Jedi. Visitors are welcome to go and see their Award-Winning chocolates being produced, taste the freshly made treats from our chocolatiers whilst learning all about chocolate. From Easter to September The Puffin Café serves great tea, coffee and incredibly rich hot chocolate drinks, freshly baked scones, cakes and desserts. The factory is located just 10 minutes off the main Ring of Kerry road, approximately one hour from Killarney or Tralee
The added bonus of giving your Dad chocolate is he’ll probably share it with you.
If your Dad is anything like mine was, and I am. Then functioning in the morning before a cup (or three) of freshly brewed coffee is a non starter. Give him some Hasbean and he will bright and perky in the morning. There’s a full review of Hasbean Filter coffee coming to my Coffee Time feature very soon. In the meantime the Hasbean story is a fascinating read. There are starter packs available in Espresso and Filter Blends. Not to forget a proper coffee mug.

Critically Endangered Socks
I don’t care what your Dad tells you. He wants socks. Not even wants, needs socks. I have whole flocks of odd socks with holes in the heels and toes. some have threads that cats follow me down the street trying to play with them. So get your Dad some socks. Critically Endangered Socks is the brainchild of Dom Desmond. 10 years ago he lived in the jungles of North Borneo, working with the critically endangered orangutans.Unfortunately 10 years later, the once lush rain forests are being destroyed by palm oil plantations and illegal loggers.
In 2017, Dom returned to Borneo and out there met an NGO called Friends of the National Parks Foundation who protect areas of rainforest and the animals that live within by buying and securing it. There are NGOs and charities like this all over the world, helping critically endangered animals. And it was during this trip to Borneo that the idea was born. He returned to the UK and started Critically endangered socks, a company that supports some of the worlds most critically endangered animals by selling socks. For the first time in history, your socks drawer has the potential to protect wildlife the world over.
The socks are so comfortable, I spent a day chasing after Little Miss OMG in 23% heat and at the end of the day my feet were fine! They are made from ethically sourced soft bamboo and a massive 20% of sales is given to one of 5 charities working to protect a specific species.
Bird & Wild Coffee
Did you know I like coffee? Well I’ve found another exceptional blend your Dad will love, that donates part of the proceeds to the RSPB. Bird & Wild coffee is Fairtrade, Organic, Bird Friendly and Shade Grown. As the RSPB’s official coffee, 6% of all sales are donated back to them to help them to protect wildlife, restore our woodlands and build a future where we live in harmony with nature. Available in two delicious flavours, the Seasonal Blend is medium roasted to perfection for a smooth coffee with dark chocolate tones, balanced acidity and bright floral aromas. The medium dark Espresso Blend is expertly roasted to produce a well-balanced tang of cocoa and fruit within a dark, creamy body that makes it ideal for espresso and milky drinks. It is also my featured coffee on this weeks Coffee Time
I’m not one for hopping on the popular bandwagon. Yet I admit the current hipster beard trend is appealing. I hate shaving! Products like Seascape Homme help make it more bearable. Given the choice though I’d definitely grow a full on Santa beard. I however have children and a significant other who make these grooming decisions for me. The best I’ve managed is a week and a half before no one will be seen in public with me. There are however plenty of you who have Dads who sport beautiful beards. Mine own is one of them.
ThatchFace was founded in early 2017 by Ben & Leanne Cleaver from their kitchen at home one evening. They began to experiment with different oils and scents to create the current range of ThatchFace beard oils. Using only natural ingredients, and focusing on a single-minded mantra of subtle scents and lightweight oils, they aim to provide better beard care suitable for all thatched faces. In 2009 Ben was diagnosed with testicular cancer and underwent surgery to remove the original tumour, followed by chemotherapy to cure the remaining cancer that had spread to his groin. He has a simple aim with ThatchFace: to give back to men’s cancer charities by donating 10% of profits from each beard oil to help other men in their own personal battles with this disease. Ben’s passion for all things beard, paired with his desire to help support men that one day could also suffer from cancer as he did is the driving force behind making ThatchFace a success.
